Our client, a large healthcare entity in Northwest IN, has a need for a Clinical Lab Scientist at their 3 Laboratory locations in Allen Country (North Fort Wayne, Randallia, South West Fort Wayne) to be a part of their flex team. Flex Team members receive $5.00 premium pay on top of base rate and any shift differential as well. Certified Lab Scientists are eligible for a Sign on and relocation bonus!

Hours: Nights; 28 hours per week

Main Responsibilities:
• Accurately perform medical laboratory tests following established laboratory policies and procedures; adhere to performance and quality standards.
• Clinical instrument maintenance for new test and instrumentation development.
• Training of other laboratory co- workers.
• Responsible for keeping the laboratory in continuous readiness for inspection.
• Possesses an extensive knowledge of techniques, instruments, and the basic medical sciences.

Education & Skills Required:
• Bachelor of Science required
• Successful completion of NAACLS accredited Clinical Laboratory Science program required.
• At the time of hire or promotion, must be a certified MLS/Medical Tech (certification by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the National Credentialing Agency, the American Medical Technologists, or the Board of Registry of the American Assoc. of Bioanalysts).
• OR, may be certified as a Microbiologist by the ASCP or NCA (Microbiology department only).
• Must have visual acuity and color discrimination.
