Our client is a growing company the in the personal care products industry. This position is in Ottawa, IL (85 miles SW of downtown Chicago) has an immediate need for a QA Shift Leader. The QA Shift Leader’s role is to ensure the quality of finished products by in-process line inspection and testing according to customer requirements and product specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Acting oversight of the QA Inspector position on shift and providing daily line assignments based on production work load.
• Assisting with line inspection duties as needed to support the shift requirements.
• Act as main liaison between maintenance and production when issues arise. Communicate and escalate to QA Supervisor as needed.
• Checks work orders against product specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness referring to Client Specifications.
• Perform good housekeeping inspections across the floor during the shift, making corrections to ensure cGMP guidelines are followed.

Requirements of the position
• HS Degree or greater with excellent attention to detail.
• A minimum of two (2) years related hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably cosmetics or pharmaceutical quality control.
• Experience as a team leader and/or lead head in a manufacturing environment an asset.
