Our client, Fermi National Lab, is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager.

Project Length: 6 Month Project + 6 Month Extension Option
40 hours per week based on workload: M-F hours
Work site Location: Batavia, IL
Hybrid (on-site in Batavia for the first month with a hybrid schedule available after)

Duties of the position include:
• Performs the daily accounting functions required to maintain general ledger including, but not limited to account reconciliations, check runs, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.
• Creates the annual budget and reports progress against budget on a monthly basis
• Creates monthly financial statements and analytical reporting that meets the needs of a variety of users, including senior executives, Members and the Board
• Serves as the primary point of contact for external annual financial statement audit
• Coordinates preparation and submission of the annual IRS Form 990 as well as other state & federal filings
• Responds to audit requests from Internal Audit, the DOE site office and other agencies
• Executes control procedures exercising independent decision-making in assigned area of responsibility
• Performs cash flow projections and management

Minimum Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting
7-10 Years of financial accounting experience
Audit experience

Preferred Experience / License:
Licensed CPA
Reporting to senior executives or a board
Background within a university, non-profit, federal agency or national laboratory
