We have partnered with our client who is a healthcare company. Our client is located in Fort Wayne, IN and is in need of a full time, Sterile Processing Supervisor. This is a Direct Hire position.

General job duties.
The SPD Supervisor supports the CSOR/Sterile Processing Manager in daily operations of the Sterile
Processing Department. Supervises assigned SPD personnel and ensures appropriate operational
performance of duties within the Sterile Processing Department. Manages and oversees the required
safety standards for instrument/equipment sterilization process as defined by the Association for the
Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). Ensures that appropriate measures are taken to
meet the standards and initiates corrective action if necessary. Performs all functions within the
Sterile Processing Department as needed. Supervises the OR Instrument Technicians and the Resource
Coordinators, including 24/7 accountability, while ensuring appropriate operational performance of
duties with Sterile Processing Department. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
Autoclave, sterrad, mechanical washer, ultrasonic, Cart Washer, CensiTrac instrument tracking system.

Required skills and minimum years of experience.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of a Central Service Technician course required (will do in-house).
Must have 7-10 years of progressive experience in sterile processing or related healthcare field.
Previous leadership and management experience in operational performance preferred.
Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.

Specific licensures & certifications/registrations required.
IAHCSMM (CRCST) required

Shift or schedule requirements 7 other details
• M-F, 3pm – 11:30pm. No weekend/call commitment
Floating to other units/departments.
• PRMC SPD (ground level) and PVN SPD (1st floor)
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
• 17 OR rooms at PRMC, 16 OR rooms for PVN and 2 FBC Section rooms
Dress Code:
• Hospital laundered scrubs, closed toe slip resistant shoes, no jewelry, no artificial nails, no nail polish
Unit/department specific training and orientation program.
• Will be trained by current supervisors/managers for roughly 3-4 weeks.
