Our client, a well-established business specializing in ink, is seeking a Technical Manager on a full-time basis.  The Technical Manager has overall responsibility for technical development and quality of the Paste Ink Division. The products produced are energy curable (UV, HUV, and LED), conventional sheet fed inks and UV coatings. This is a first shift position Monday- Friday. Hours: 8am-4pm

Responsibilities: 

• Develop effective technical organization including R&D and QC personnel.
• Train subordinates to improve their skills and give them feedback to become more competent and productive employees.
• Conduct effective cost reduction scheme internally and with other related parties
• Must have a hands-on leadership role since this position works closely with managers and supervisors throughout the plant and coordinates with other managers on all support activities
• Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending action, and follow-through of actions

Essential Skills & Experience:

• BS in Chemistry preferred or in similar related field or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years working experience as a paste ink technician.
• 7+ years supervisory experience in an office environment
• Sufficient technical experience with energy curable inks
• Demonstrate leadership skills, maintaining a positive attitude & the ability to motivate people.

Valued but not required skills & experience:

• Knowledge and experience working with ERP systems
