JOB LISTING: Chemical Manufacturing Lab Supervisor – New Kensington, PA (First Shift)

Responsibilities & Duties:
Performs laboratory testing using standard laboratory equipment and techniques.
Performs required testing on all batch, first article, and bulk load liquid samples.
Performs required testing as applicable on incoming raw chemicals.
Records and reports test results accurately and promptly
Manages customer formulations, specifications, and testing procedures.
Maintains customer test results database and satisfies customer sample requests & sample system.
Investigates out-of-specification chemicals and batches, liaisons with customer, and provides guidance for resolution.
Calibrating, and maintaining equipment for analytical development activities
Ensures all applicable paperwork/documentation is accurately completed and filed
Quarterly report on the lab’s throughput and asset utilization
Maintain lab cleanliness and organization per 5S methodology
Customer support and customer follow ups as needed
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, engineer sciences or related work experience with good knowledge of physiochemistry.
Technical Skills and Experience:
Experience using UHPLC, ICP, IC and GM/MS equipment and methods required
Prior professional experience in similar industries is an advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability and self-starter
Able to manage multiple projects and varying tasks simultaneously
