Our client is a growing company the in the personal care products industry. This position is in Ottawa, IL (85 miles SW of downtown Chicago) has an immediate need for a Analytical Chemist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Knowledge of various instrumentation (GC, HPLC, UV-Vis, FT-IR, etc.).
•Develop analytical methods for new products and new ingredients.
•Proficient with UHPLC and GC software applications (Chromeleon, ChemStation, etc.).
•Maintain accurate and complete notebook records for all method development, validation, and investigational studies in accordance with SOPs and protocols.
•Writes and/or reviews procedures, protocols, summary reports and specification documents needed to support product development efforts.

Requirements of the position
• B.S. in Chemistry or related discipline
• 2-3 years of work experience as an analytical chemist (5 years preferred)
• Familiar with cosmetic and OTC quality control testing
