Our client, a well-established business specializing in ink manufacturing, is seeking a Liquid Ink Chemist II on 1st shift. The Chemist II position is responsible for formulating new and improving existing Flexographic Ink and Gravure Ink products. They will also need to work closely and support the entire Technical Team.
Shift information:
Monday- Friday. Hours: 8am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Research & development of new Flexo and Gravure products/ formulations
- Improvement to present formulations
- Assisting with customer service; providing support to local manufacturing, technical service, troubleshooting and product recommendations.
- Working with customers and print service team on new product trials
- Selecting, calibrating, installing, and maintaining lab equipment
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in chemistry,
- 3+ years of work-related Chemistry experience
- Familiar with multiple suppliers and raw materials to properly formulate products.
Preferred Experience:
- SAP Software exposure
- Familiarity w/ Flexo ink and/or Gravure ink printing applications for lamination end uses.
- Ability to develop Flexo and/or Gravure ink systems with limited guidance.
- Experience in the Solvent Flexible Packaging ink market.
- Understands substrates and their functions for Flexible packaging.
