Our client located in Manteno, IL. seeks a Food Quality Control Tech with the option of 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm) or 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:30am) M-F. This position will most likely train on the 1st shift. The pay is 20.00 per hour.

Candidates can’t have food allergies including milk, soy, wheat, fish, egg, or blue cheese/mold.  Technicians are required to taste product (Salad dressing) containing these allergens.

Qualified Candidates for this position would have the following:

• Inspects in-coming materials for conformance to company standards
• Performs analytical tests on samples, using standard methods of analysis specific to the raw material or finished product.
• Conducts QCP & CCP tests – pH & metal detector as per protocol, documents results & confirms specs compliance. Performs calculations & maintain record of analytical results
• Determines required corrections on in-process products as per analysis results
• Confirms compliance to all other specifications including labeling, packaging, code dating & other customer specific requirements

Qualified Candidates for this position would have the following background:

Technical Background (Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology etc.) or equivalent work experience Competence in Math.
