We have partnered with our client who is looking for an experience Junior Chemist for their growing business. The primary functions of the role will be planning, implementing, and overseeing QC standards at the facility. This role is involved in all phases of the production lifecycle.

Work Location: Calhoon, GA. (Some Domestic travel is required for training.)
Work days & Hours: Monday to Friday. 8 Hour shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival upon the job site.
· Testing to customer requirements of finished parts for physical properties, and flammability.
· Compound Flame Retardant additives and coating formulations for application testing or sampling.
· Application of formulated coatings by pad bath, knife-over, gravure or suitable method as intended for product usage or at customer direction.
· Technical support to sales personnel and customers,
· Develop new products to meet customer requirements for Flame Retardancy in aqueous products for different industries.
· Organizes and records all testing information in the laboratory

Education and/or Experience Requirements.
· Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Plastic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
or other related sciences.
· 2 – 5 years of industrial experience including formulation of specialty coatings, color matching plant processing procedures, quality control test procedures and technical service.

Computer Skills:
SAP experience preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft office
