Our client, Argonne National Laboratory, is looking for a hardworking and curious candidate. The position involves plastics, metals, and battery recycling R&D. This candidate will join a team developing and testing materials separations and recycling operations, and will help assist project leaders and post docs with their research.

Due to the chemical and mechanical nature of the processes being worked on, a good background in chemistry and a mechanical aptness is helpful. Equipment test stands will need to be assembled and adapted so experience using hand tools is important.

Project Length: 1 year

Requirements of the position:
A high school, associates, or bachelor’s degree in the sciences, or similar degree
Experience operating commercial/industrial equipment

Preferred Experience:
Equipment installations and start-up/debug
Process development and plant design
