Our client is a growing company the in the personal care products industry. This position is in Ottawa, IL (85 miles SW of downtown Chicago) has an immediate need for a Quality Control Manager. The Quality Control Manager develops, establishes procedures, and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, cGMP (21 CFR 211) / ISO22716, and regulatory/legal requirements.
•Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems.
•Oversee inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements.
•Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products.
•Lead a team of Quality engineers, inspectors, auditors, analysts, and technicians
•Report on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement.
•Conduct periodic management review meetings.
•Oversee product recalls.

Requirements of the position:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality Assurance
• 10+ Years of Quality Assurance / Quality Control Experience.

Preferred Certifications:
• Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar certification such as:
 Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt
 Black Belt or Green Belt
 CQA or CQM
 Current membership with ASQ or ISPE.
