Our client in Romeoville, IL a manufacturer of distillation units, is searching for a Pilot Plant Manager.  The position is M-F with most of the week starting at 8am-4:30pm with one day in the week being either Monday or Tuesday, starting at 12pm-8:30pm. Looking for someone motivated and assertive.

TASKS-Manages Pilot Plant employees to ensure production objectives are met and maintained

Organizes workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules

Ensure safe and proper use of equipment, schedule maintenance, and direct clean-up

Assist with troubleshooting equipment

Help identify issues in efficiency and recommend and assist with modifications to equipment.

PILOT PLANT OPERATIONS-Manage QC activities in Pilot Plant Laboratory including: Processing Pilot Plant (PP) samples to assure Customer QA/QC Requirements are satisfied; PP Personnel training in QA/QC activities. Implement appropriate QA/QC procedures to assure Customer objectives are satisfied

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS – Minimum of 2 years in a supervisor position being able to show assertiveness and high motivation. Experience in chemical processing and/or R&D Activity; Computer literacy in Excel, Word and other useful programs along with strong Technical Writing Ability Strong organizational skills &management skills & familiarity with chemical processing methods and equipment Familiarity with OSHA, DOT & EPA regulation

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS − BS or MS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering field.
