JOB LISTING: In Plant Ink Technician – Broadview, IL

The In-Plant Technician’s purpose is to provide high-quality printing inks to our customers within their facility located in Broadview, IL. This includes blending of finished materials to inventory control to final hand-off to the customer. They will also be the liaison with company locations and the customer.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain supplier-customer relationship at all times
• Responsible for material handling, batch-weighing, and blending/mixing duties
• Operate laboratory equipment, testing equipment, ink dispensers, computers, etc.
• Run quality tests on produced materials, maintaining complete and accurate records
• Identify ink chemistries for specific system needs
• Data-entry of orders and batch tickets & maintain inventory control
• Continuously monitor & improve work processes for increased efficiency
• Conduct regular safety inspections, of equipment
• Comply with all Company and Customer safety, waste, and chemical/hazardous materials handling practices

Essential Skills & Experience:
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Three years of ink production experience required
• Three years of color matching experience required
• Computer competency using office applications (Word, Excel) and email
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide proficiently; this includes use & calculation of percentages, decimals, fractions, and whole numbers, and the understanding of unit versions

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
• Demonstrate ability to work with hazardous chemicals.
• Physical ability to lift and move material (at least 50 lbs.)
• Minimal Travel Required (<10%) to locations or customers across the USA.
• Standing, walking, sitting up to 10-hours per day
• Personal Protective Equipment is required at all times during the work shift in production areas. This may include steel-toed shoes, earplugs, and safety glasses with side shields.

Hours:
• Monday – Friday. Work hours will be same every day.
• Work extended days and/or weekends as needed.
